Yes, #Tusky 5.2 is crashing when you have polls in your notifications.
1. We are aware of the issue, a fix for the crash is already in the Tusky nightly. You can use it until Tusky 6 is released. Tusky 6 beta will start in about a week.
2. The polls feature is not even a in a Mastodon release candidate yet, maybe wait before running it in production?
3. No Mastodon does not coordinate such breaking changes with app devs.
@ConnyDuck LOL Ops we run whatever is in mastodon master here :p
@ConnyDuck glitch-soc is pretty popular and intended to be run off master, and anyway the way that these features get tested is people choosing to use unstable versions and report bugs
i'm not saying it's your fault that the app can't handle polls yet, but "maybe wait before running it in production" isn't a very helpful suggestion
@monorail well glitchsoc has it in the name that it is glitchy, but there seem to be instances with public signup that do not indicate to their users that they run experimental software explicitly enough, according to the messages I get
@ConnyDuck will Tusky support Friendica or Hubzilla, or anything other than Mastodon?
@Vaqsod no there are no plans to support other apis than the Mastodon Api, but there are other servers like Pleroma and in the future Pixelfed that provide the Mastodon api
@ConnyDuck great. thanks for the information.
where do we get tusky nightly
@v0idifier search for it on Google Play
Umm I don't have Google Play and I'd suppose a big part of your users don't
@ConnyDuck you fixed the issue with COSP too :3
