Ah replacing the content view with the fragment works. You just have to know that it has the id 🧐

Android Dev question: What is the easiest way to show an Fragment in an Activity? The Activity does not need to do anything else, I feel like inflating a layout just to set the fragment in it is already overkill.

#Tusky 11 is out since a few days. This time we did not make big changes, but quite a lot of polishing and some small new features, most of which can be toggled with a setting:
- Notifications about new follow requests when your account is locked
- disable swiping between tabs
- show a confirmation dialog before boosting a toot
- show link previews in timelines

And the freeze peaches from gab are still whining its hilarious

Also they demand to see their posts metrics to measure their impact?¿?

People in Google Play reviews are wondering how Tusky can stay in business when it sucks so hard

Sometimes a painting turns out way better than planned

oil on canvas, 30x40cm

And where/how do I host a website that needs to sustain high traffic spikes when I don't want to go with the big players Amazon/Cloudflare etc?

Hey Webdevs, how does one do responsive menus with dropdowns these days? I always used this library, but Im not sure if it can do dropdowns and is still the way to go

#Tusky tip:

If you don't want to click an image full to read the alt text, press the image and hold, and a bubble will pop up with the alt-text OR "no description"

This is good for checking if you want to boost something

11 beta 1 has just been released. No big changes this time, but quite some polishing and neat little features.

What do you think?

If you use Tusky and really suffer from that sensitive tab swipe, you could check Nightly which includes a preference to disable it. It is not stable yet and it should be in beta soon.

Getting more likes on Pixelfed than on Instagram for the first time, nice

Austrian Stop corona app

Had a look at the source code of the stop corona app for Android by the Austrian Red Cross
Its pretty unspectacular and seems to only collect necessary data.
The app that is currently published on Google Play does not match the published source code, the server code is not yet available & it uses a closed source library for the proximity detection, so its still not 100% trustworthy.
