Emails have to be plaintext.

HTML is the Hypertext Markup Language, not the Email Formatting Language.

@DC7IA Remember HTML mail replaced vendor extensions like Microsoft RTF + TNEF, which was way worse.

Shit, people are using computers in a way the nerds don't agree with!

@DC7IA what HTML mail gave us:

- tracking via embedded pixels (and general privacy concerns)
- bloated mail clients that need to render "websites"
- E-Mails that are 50% images, 40% "styling" and 10% content
- Messages from my grandfather, where every paragraph has a different font and colour
