I can't say it's better in terms of privacy but it's Google free :D

And for example @tom79 uses it with a special extension to provide more privacy for toot translations :)

@SoRandom @Digitalcourage Frag doch mal auf einer Kölner Polizeiwache, was die gegen Firmen unternehmen, die #GoogleAnalytics falsch einsetzen! Die Fotos der Polizistengesichter bitte unkenntlich machen und dann hier posten.

Aber im Ernst: Das Verbandsklagerecht wird gerade erst eingeführt. Dann können NGOs gegen sowas klagen. Und erst ab Ende Mai können dank #DSGVO richtig schmerzhafte Strafen verhängt werden.
