It's a complicated and multi-faceted thing
Personally, I consider all traditional feminine societal roles to be various spectrums of sex work, as wives or otherwise
Not all of it exists as a monatized thing,
Having the agency to do so safely is a way to amass wealth for marginal and struggling ppl in the context of the world
Allowing people to do it safely means decriminalization and to halt state repression

Sex work is an individual act of direct action, more so for people just finding a way to survive in the context of late capitalism particularly with its accessibility - particularly in this age of the web
It needs to be analyzed no different from any other job. Exploitative bosses aren't unique to porn.
No other job gives such an opportunity for self autonomy, in my experience. I'm too poor otherwise to be self employed

I agree and would like to encourage you to organise to fight marginalisation and give sex-work the recognition in society it deserves. The current situation is just a big bigotry at all levels.

same problem of egocentrism vs. solidarity in so many fields. I am not very much into the topic but I'd love to see self-determined sex work! most of my leftist contacts totally condemn sex work as patriarchal and I agree to a certain extend but I think this could be transformed by approaches like co-ops or public love-houses.
