Bei der diesjährigen Abiturentlassung sprach ein Redner von den #digital #natives. Dass ich nicht lache. Hier zwei Beispiele von den sogenannten Natives:
1.) Sie besitzen ein 800€-Handy, können aber nicht den internen Email-Client via pop oder imap mit ihrer Schuladresse einrichten und sind somit per Mail faktisch nicht erreichbar.
2.) Sie fragen nach, ob die Schule ein Instagram-Account einrichten kann, weil sie nur so auf dem Laufenden bleiben. Schulkalender via caldav abrufen: Fehlanzeige

Hm, apparently #letsencrypt now provides mor than 50% of the web certificates.
On one hand: FUCKING AWESOME.
On the other: Shit. They're getting very powerful and we are centralizing our trust. I think we could reallu use 2-3 new orgs like Letsencrypt, with similar technology and mission statement, but entirely independent.

Kann mir mal jemand erklären, warum user die logs von ihren eigenen user-units nicht lesen können. Hatte gehofft systemd macht das Leben hier einfacher :/
People seem to pay you more for stuff they are unable to do or just have the feeling that they can not. That might be the reason social work gives you a low income for a very hard work. People think they could also do it and no special qualification is needed, so they think the payment is OK. In tech, most people think it's witchcraft and pay absurdly high prices for support.

Was manche Softwarenutzer nie zu lernen scheinen: Nicht jeder Hinweis ist eine Fehlermeldung und nicht jede Rückfrage muss mit "ja" beantwortet werden.
Aussagen wie „Ich arbeite doch allein an dem Code, da brauche ich keine Versionskontrolle“ stimmen mich etwas traurig 😔
