So... i read that people change from Github to GitLab - but to what GitLab? A selfhosted community edition one? Or is everyone now signing up with GitLab.COM? Shifting to another (maybe less evil, maybe not?) profit driven company? I have no knowledge of gitlab whatsoever and don't want to imply they have evil intentions, but i do not see a solution to the problem of a "center of gravity" here. So what if GitLab.com changes their intentions in 12 months or so? Where do people go from there then?
I just learned that in Germany June 2nd which happens to be today is "Organ donation" awareness day.
