@benthor Hollow Knight. Starts deceptively simple, but has a large world and introduces new mechanics along the way... Without ever telling you where to go next

@rixx @benthor Oh yes! I am playing it right now and I am so enamored by it. I love how they designed the world, the bosses, and the music - it all has this melancholy in it somehow?
I played it till 4am the night before yesterday. xD

You guys might also want to take a look on Ori and the Blind Forest. It is designed in a similar way, I believe and has a very touching story.

@gravity @rixx @benthor While Ori is great and I enjoyed it a lot, it is vastly more linear and less exploration-focused than Hollow Knight. While Ori's platforming is great and the main focus, its combat is comparatively clunky. Ori's story is also told much more explicitly, rather movie-like than the more secretive Souls-ian style in Hollow Knight, which creates a very different atmosphere.

I see why you compare those two, but they are vastly different.
