@bleeptrack Nice :-) Are you happy with it? I'm thinking about getting an eInk notepad/reader for some time now, but I was never sure it's really worth the money. (Of course you can't answer that question for me, but you could tip me in one direction. πŸ™‚ )

@fnord
So for me it's totally worth it. I first had the note (10") but that was too big to take it on my travel journeys. I use it for all my paper reading and note taking :)
Though Boox is a quirky company. They regularly update their devices (sort of) but also they push out a new device every half a year or so. But to me, it seems this is a usual behaviour for lots of chinese companies.
Besides the ereader Reddit, the Boox user community also gathers here: bbs.onyx-international.com/

@bleeptrack And since this thread started with a cat... Meet Henry, he just turned one last weekend. :-)

@bleeptrack My Nova2 just arrived! 😍
Do you use a screen protector with yours? I'm unsure If I want one or not.

@fnord
Yeah! Well, I had a note before my nova. That did not have a hard screen and the surface was quite wobbly. After a while a line on the screen broke :( (they fixed it without complain). On my nova is a hard screen. So far it seems really robust and I have no scratches so far :)

@bleeptrack Thank you, that's good to know and makes me a bit more confident about not using a screen protector. (It's always such a hassle to put them on correctly!)
I have already installed FDroid and Syncthing and the first impressions of the device are really good! πŸ™‚πŸ‘
