So, if you want to use a HPLC/GC-MS, and you don't have institutional access... what do you do? Any hacklabs have one?

@douginamug Hm. All I've got is a story to tell of a zoologist colleague, who tried to analyse a stranded cachalot baby. It was too big for medical CT apparatuses, so he persuaded someone with access to a military CT apparatus used for checking missiles. He was successful in that, and did get some more insight in the head anatomy of the baby. But anatomy is hard and he did not understand fully, what he saw 🙂
