I dislike the fact that Pidgin is the ONLY combined messaging app for Linux.
I have to have IRC, Xmpp, Telegram, Matrix and Discord going - and I refuse to have 5 different apps running (most of which are electron apps or browser tabs)...
I could skip, for the future - Discord and Matrix and then... one day Telegram (I wish) but for the coming years... I need one app that can handle all good

twidere needs to enable TLSv1.2 on older android versions to support some mastodon instances. TLSv1.2 is supported starting with android 4.1 but for some reason it's disabled by default until android 5.
