War gerade wieder voll motiviert, am neuen Mailserver-Setup zu schrauben, und dann hab ich mir den Vortrag von @MacLemon angeschaut. Jetzt hol ich mir mein Eis, und geh in die Ecke und weine.
Chrome is now hiding "trivial" subdomains in the URL bar (www[.]domain[.]com shows only domain[.]com ). This is plain wrong, and buggy as hell :/ https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=881410
So, dem @rixx nochmal fix Arbeit ins GitHub gekippt. Gute Nacht!

Holy crap. Malware hidden in a strand of DNA hijacks the computer that analyzes that particular gene sequence.
We're going to live in a very weird world man.

Hi, this is the CCC Video Operation Center, or C3VOC for short.
We are geeks interested in audio, video and recording interesting events. Along the way, we produce or extend Free Software, which we upload to https://github.com/voc and interesting hardware hacks. We try to document our work at https://c3voc.de/wiki.
We also run our own infra and feed https://media.ccc.de.
Find a short introduction into our work at https://c3voc.de/. If you have questions, just ask away. ^da
We aligned our Mastodon account name with other social media accounts. As renaming is not possible, we have moved! Please follow @c3voc from now on. ^da
I added mastodon support to the c3voc releasing system so you can find our releases now on @c3voc_releases . And magically mastodon embeds our videos right in the toot view <3 e.g. https://chaos.social/@c3voc_releases/100656785964647106
Was fuer eine grossartige wie sinnvolle Liste! Auf #Dreckstool kann Jeder fuer sein Dreckstool voten. 👍🏻

I'm not happy with how the Wil Wheaton situation was resolved. An admin was overwhelmed with frivolous reports about him and felt forced to exile him. I've said before that I think it sets a dangerous precedent on how a large group of people can mobilize to drive anyone off the fediverse. Mob rule is universally dangerous: Mods and admins must examine evidence and decide based on wrongdoing and danger, and not on how many times someone was reported.
