Through our Android Play store address we are getting 3-4 messages per week, bypassing spam filters, that offer to sell us 5-star reviews. We delete these emails but are curious: do these folks actually deliver and magically arrange for durable 5-star reviews?
@delta Some probably do, but from time to time, the ratings get removed, and, I think, sometimes the app as well. There are interesting videos showing shelves full of mobile phones in "click farms" that flash from time to time a new play store screen in which a real person then gives a 5-star rating.

There was a documentary on ARD or was it on WDR about buying ratings. To sum up it was very easy. On all platforms. #amazon #google #facebook
It's a big business.
