What's missing:
with the Huawei watch GT 2, smart watches seem to become affordable and reach one week of battery range.

Yet still: I want to own the device as in being able to use it without the cloud of the vendor, being able to root the device and deploy own code, like possible on better mobile phones nowadays.

Want my money? Give me a device which I can own.

@globalc Yeah I think most of the supported devices are more "fitness tracker" level, not "smart watch" level. Works like a charm with a MiBand2 for notifications here tho.
