@hernani I believe the fixed #sudo version is #1.8.28 ? Did they release this #vulnerability prematurlly? Didn't they give the distro maintainers time to update their repos?

@hernani i thought sudo meant root all time, since you can allways do sudo su and get root terminal access...

@grosskopfgames yes and no. Once a user can execute su via sudo, there is no limit to it. su is su. But you can limit sudo users to only execute certain commands, hence not allowing them to execute su. See e.g. atrixnet.com/allow-an-unprivil or for documentation sudo.ws/man/sudoers.man.html
