# apt-get update && apt-get upgrade
@hernani autsch, indeed. is there a spreadsheet with distros already serving updates?
@hernani sudo apt update
@hernani i thought sudo meant root all time, since you can allways do sudo su and get root terminal access...
@hernani or can su be limited for sudo users? :D
@grosskopfgames yes and no. Once a user can execute su via sudo, there is no limit to it. su is su. But you can limit sudo users to only execute certain commands, hence not allowing them to execute su. See e.g. https://www.atrixnet.com/allow-an-unprivileged-user-to-run-a-certain-command-with-sudo/ or for documentation https://www.sudo.ws/man/sudoers.man.html #sudo
ah that was the thing about this patch!
