I have encountered more image descriptions on Mastodon in 24 hours than I have in Twitter in a couple of years. Seriously. I'm not exaggerating.
As a blind person, this means a lot to me. If you read this and you describe your images, thank you so, so, so much on behalf of all of us. If you don't, now you know you'll be helping random Internet strangers make sense of your posts by typing in a few more words than usual.

Ich finde es schön, dass aus was für ein Grund auch immer hier in den letzten Tagen ein mehr #neuhier Entitäten eingefunden haben.

Ein kleiner Tipp, da manche von Euch noch vom Vogel und dessen Algorithmen über viele Jahre irritiert worden sind:

Es geht hier im #Fediverse ein wenig anders zu. Dazu gehört auch, dass wir hier eher mehr Qualität als Quantität erleben. Das bedeutet, dass Follower- und Followed-Zahlen eher kein wichtiges Merkmal darstellen.

Natürlich freut Ihr Euch, wenn ihr am Anfang so die ersten 10-20 Follower bekommt. Das ist natürlich. Aber es geht hier nicht um Wachstum im klassischen Sinne.

Es wird oft mehr geboostet und wenn im Laufe der Zeit sich ein Follower mehr bei Euch einreiht, dann ist das schön und gut. Aber es ist kein Indiz dafür, ob ihr relevant seid, denn ihr seid immer relevant, ganz egal wie "die Zahlen" aussehen. Das wird eventuell beim Neustart hier leicht übersehen.

Du bist gut und wichtig. So wie Du bist. Und das ist gut so.
