Strange snafu misroutes domestic US Internet traffic through China Telecom - arstechnica.com/?p=1407183

@jotbe I've seen this before, several years back. Huh.

@rysiek @jotbe Nothing new under the sun & wondering why is an issue now. Apparently it was normal in Italy that traffic from Rome to Milan had to go through Washington as it's normal today that an email from Brighton to London should go through Amsterdam.
Nothing better than sending data through international waters to make it go faster, apparently.
