I dreaming about taking my children to #London, #England, this summer, but I can't afford it. Maybe there's some nice ppl here on #Mastodon that would enjoy a visit by me and my two kids a couple of days in July or August?

I I understand the practical reasons for my doctors and psychs 3-strike policies.

But the practical effect is the people who most need help have the hardest time getting it. Because it's the people who are in the worst place who have the hardest time getting to appointments reliably.

If a service dog approaches you by itself, it's trying to get you to follow it. I didn't know that until today but now I do!

The point we're always trying to make is that society as a whole reject disabled people and justify it with "your bodies function differently and we need you to be as close as possible to what we consider normal to be socially accepted" when the problem is how society treats us, not us.

Please CW and/or contextualize your "Meds are great! Seek help!" tweets and boosts. What works for some people, can be a total disaster (and I mean, a *total* disaster) for others.

suicidal people deserve to feel free to speak openly about their suicidal thoughts to friends, therapists, etc without fearing institutionalizations or other drastic measures. allowing people to speak about suicide isn't the same as saying it's ok. imo it actually makes it more likely for people to get help instead of bottling it up.

I've worked with people with schizophrenia, delusions, hallucinations, dissociative identity disorder, man you name it. you're almost never dealing with crazy and almost always dealing with coping mechanisms for trauma ime
