aaaaa, why is it nearly 4am...
i have the current sense section of the multimeter project figured out now.
the one i didn't want to work one because more important projects...
i'm going to use low-side current sensing and back-to-back mosfets to switch between the current sense resistors.
Vishay has the SIRA80DP (470u) and Diodes the DMN22M5UFG-7 (2.5m). I'll use two pairs of the first one for the 50A range and one pair for 10A.
for the other ranges i'm going with the one from Diodes. it's nice and small and doesn't cost much. that way i can nicely add ranges for 1A, 100mA and 10mA.
