Fuck off with these follow bots. Jesus fuck.

I was followed by four right in close succession to each other.

I've heard that putting on your profile page is one way to avoid those bots if they comply to that.

Not sure if Pleroma instances feature this though. If I'm not mistaken you're running Pleroma, and not Mastodon right?

Just a thought.

@luricaun I had it in my profile for a while but when I was hosting a masto instance as well as this one, there's a lot of bots that ignore the nobot tag.
@luricaun Having it in my profile doesn't solve the problem of them just crawling and following other people on my instance. :|

@sina
I see and you are right. This won't change the fact.

I have no idea how to solve that problem though. Maybe some devs can help you with that.

@luricaun I have a hacky solution of using keyword detection on names and profiles. It still occasionally lets ones through though, which use themed names or only imply that they're a federation bot. :|
@luricaun But I'm also sort of hesitant about this way because I know it'll inevitably block some actual people, too, and I don't want that. (I have a "morning digest" sent to my email to let me know of what names were blocked, so I can unblock any people manually, but ideally I wouldn't need to do this.)

@sina
I get your frustration. Ideally you should not have to do this at all. It would be nice if there was an automated feature for this.

Well I hope there will be a more convenient way in the future for this.
