:boost_ok: :ablobcatwave: Please boost this post if you would like the EFF to join the fediverse. :ablobcatbongo:

In a survey the EFF sent me, I suggested they create an account on the fediverse, so they can reach more supporters and support innovative free software that promotes interoperability among platforms, something they've advocated for in the past, too.

If you can boost this post, maybe I'll be able to show them that there are quite a few users who would like them here!

The EFF is the infamous nonprofit organisation that fights for privacy, government transparency, and digital freedom. Their fight is very important, and the EFF is very special to me. https://www.eff.org/about https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_Frontier_Foundation

You can see some of their work here https://www.eff.org/work

In the meantime, you can follow @eff, which is an unofficial mirror of their Twitter.

Any recommendations for a device running #FreeSoftware for users above 90 without technical experience to do video calls? Thanks!

Perfection is the biggest enemy of progress. That's the reason that while I know #Signal isn't perfect, compared to #Whatsapp and other messengers it is more than #GoodEnough. Switch to #Signal. I'm there since years.

Dear web developers and admins,
please stop embedding Google's hideous into your websites. Its algorithm is faulty, forcing regular users to click dozens or even hundreds of fire hydrants, bicycles, or traffic lights each day. It puts a 'suspicious activity' flag on users who won't obey to Google's business model - such as people who don't sign into Chrome, use anonymity VPNs, or use browser extensions to suppress common tracking mechanisms. Enough is enough. Stop it.

No I don't want “source availability”. This is just the fake open source which Microsoft used to do. I want public code for public use.

Is it just me or has updating apps with F-Droid become a bit flaky?

Pressing update all and it just downloads and then one needs to click update on each of them and most often then it says installing but nothing more happens and update button stays there...
