Installing #PeppermintOS on a very old #EeePC, a friend of mine needs a computer.
Posting this from the EeePC :) Works great, kinda slow but not too bad.
It does have an offbrand battery that still holds 6000mAh which is ridiculous for how long it hasn't been used. Also with that 1 core #atom processor the battery life will be epic.
I will report back once it's fully charged.

@Michcioperz You are correct. But it will be used by someone not tech-savvy, so the main function of this laptop will be the graphical web browser and Thunderbird.
@Michcioperz I don't wish this experience on anyone but this is my only leftover machine that I don't need myself, so I'll give it to a friend who needs a computer.
So while browsing heavy websites the EeePC reports 6 hours of battery life, reading a website and not doing much else it says 8.
If you use it as a typewriter you should get >10 hours...
