@Dekken regardless if this is a copyright infringement - the situation shows how many rights and how much freedom copyright takes from people.
@pinkprius copyright on it's own isn't awful, it's a protection mechanism, but it's has been seriously abused
@pinkprius many people (myself included) make videos of electronics projects with hi-fi/sound equipment (where it is ofc not unusual that music might be played 😆 ) and run into issues with "copyright feds"; the greatest annoyance being rules are completely randomly applied depending on what country you/the viewer are in, even when the soundtrack is completely useless for piracy (such as being recorded on a phone or camera microphone with other noise present)..
@pinkprius abolish intellectual property imo
@falgsc @pinkprius I used to be ambivalent about this... But I think samizdat is now a moral duty.
@pinkprius There's always Hooktube. The free market has provided a solution.
@pinkprius That's okay, I was there, I can just remember it! How did it go?... [Memory access ~protected~ on copyright grounds. Would you like to [Rent for 24 hours for 19¢] or [Buy for $5.00] ?]
@pinkprius I don't see how reproduction of a song is copyright infringement - it's like patenting physics
