@pinkprius I was confused at first - as well as this suburb of Indiana USA Angola is a country in Africa.
That country had a civil war since 1970s (and loads of casualties, infrastructure destroyed, declining life expectancy) but peace broke out in 2002, and the people there are slowly rebuilding their country).
Recently (around 2014), this poor African nation decided to properly set up a national health service..

@pinkprius I'm confused as to why it's taken them two years to go for the bone marrow transplant, although I'm guessing the cost is a major factor. It's cheaper here in Mexico, even cheaper than the hospital's generou 'discounted' rate, but still a hefty cost. But for Mexican citizens and residents w/ visas, IMSS costs $350US per year and covers all cancer treatment and/or hospice costs.
