Guess what, people with low income can't pay a high percentage of their income in tax.
The question isn't: "How Much Do the Top 1 Percent Pay of All Taxes?"
The question is: "How can we as a society afford people with such immense wealth?"
Protip: We cannot. They aren't 1000 times wealthier than the average working person because they worked 40.000 hours every week, but because they have had different resources. All while depending on a reliably working society around them.

Read a book and try to understand that there are lots of inequalities in this world, rich people having to pay a price to not be looted by others is not one of them.
