#duolingo is definitely missing some kind of guide. Normally you have small question marks next to UI elements such as "Crown Level" that tell you what they are all about. Like. C'mon.

@tercean Oh wow! I have like a tenth of that. But yeah, spending it would be nice, even if it was a bullshit tamagochi pet or flower or whatever. If you want to do the gamification thing, do it right over the top!
@rixx exactly. I used to play Team Fortress, give me hats to buy and I'm fine.
@tercean So apparently there are five crown levels. See, that is useful information, why don't they put it somewhere? Alongside with an indicator that you raise the level by testing that skill?
I feel that without some suggestion mechanic (practice now, re-take a level, go on to a new lesson etc) learning progress is kind of random and not well-organised.
@rixx yupp. they just released the crown stuff a short while ago, without any explanation.
