Finished transcribing the keynote I gave at PyCon UK two years ago: 7.7k words (ten pages, give or take) and that's already removing filler words.

Now to edit it into something that still follows the talk, but is readable.

… and then the translation, of course …

It turns out that transcribing 50 minutes of talking takes ages, but has nothing on the pain of editing the text to be vaguely alright to read.


@pmosetc idk if anybody is going to read it, tbh, this is mostly for my grandfather who is a true history buff (which my keynote was about). He showed interest but doesn't speak English too well, soooo this is probably my birthday present for him.
