Did you know? There are standards on color contrast accessibility for background:foreground colors (e.g. on websites). If you look at/redesign your website, take the time to drop your background and text colors in this handy tool to see if your color choices are suitable: contrast-ratio.com/#%23DF691A-

@rixx this is cool :) now I feel confident about my color choices on my software :)

@uniporn Haha, well, there is a lot mor to color choices and to accessibility. But you can feel confident that you meet the minimum requirements in one category ;)

@rixx :D yeah, some friends of mine are color-blind^^ but my confidence into this tool shrinked as bright green on pitch black is considered good despite the pain it causes to my eyes...

@uniporn Not good, just good in *contrast*. There is a (W3C approved) formula calculating the color contrast.

@rixx That site has a bug in its up/down arrow code, it only inc/decrements decimal numbers and treats any hex digits a-f as not a number

@Felthry That's, erm, good to know? Not sure why you're telling me when it's already a website with linked GitHub repository where you could open an issue …

@rixx I have no idea what I'm doing, I saw you link it and thought you were the one who made it

@Felthry Oh, sorry, didn't want to come off as rude. Wanna learn how to tell the people who made the site about this?

@rixx oh, I do--just, because I have noscript on apparently the github button didn't show up. Went and looked at the github, and apparently this is a known issue since early 2016.

@Felthry Ah, drat. Sorry again for being weird about this, had a long day and thought maybe you weren't a techie and I could make up my rudeness by introducing you to GitHub :D

@rixx nah, it's okay, I wasn't thinking or I would have realized it was just something you were linking to not something you made!

@rixx do you have any more tips or guidelines? I always find it hard to make such decisions

@digital @rixx For accessibility in general there is a11yproject.com/ .
Chrome as a nice automatic auditing tool (doesn't replace thinking about the topic of course) developers.google.com/web/tool.
