@Ophillous it's got a long and storied history (but basically he's a rude boy) https://www.newsweek.com/2016/05/06/secret-ska-history-man-business-suit-levitating-emoji-442192.html
@nina : MIT pulped all 5,000 printed copies of Joi Ito's new book (without publishing it) because Joi was canceled.
@fox_news there's a mace inside the house of commons that is the symbol of the queen's power, the house of commons legally cannot sit if the mace is not in place. Over time, it became a method of protest to seize the mace in order to temporarily prevent parliament from continuing. But there is also someone employed at parliament whose entire job is to ensure the mace, the symbol of the queen's power, remains in place.
minarchist: you are made to believe that you need the state for all kinds of things, that have long been provided by non-state means.
also minarchist: by the mechanics if statism, it's basically guranteed that state intervention benefits a few at the cost of many.
also also minarchist: OBVIOUSLY we NEED the state to provide property law! otherwise we would get terrible injustice!
in short: just because something seems hard to do, doesn't mean authorities figures are any good at it. #anarchy
