Are there any useful solutions to make syntax checkers not barf when editing mako templates of e.g. HTML documents or python scripts?

Oooof, I remember I did some magick in Neovim with Ale to use 2 linters for template-files. One for the templating-language and one for the rendered content so you could basically set filetype=j2.html for example.

It‘s possible but so long ago and I have no clue if I still habe that config.
