Just wondered if there's a way to follow via . And there are indeed multiple bots:

First I found, but this one seems dead since July. :-(

But luckily there's also and it's working and up to date. I don't speak Portuguese, but the only place where you're confronted with it is the subscription form. And you probably know how these forms look like and what you have to enter and where you have to click to follow that bot. ;-)

Much has been said about using scp being outdated and how rsync should be preferred over scp, but sometimes I just want `scp -3 host1:stuff host2:stuff`.

@purism: On you claim that the 15 is a desktop replacement and the Librem 14 is a road warrior.

How can a 15" laptop be a desktop replacement (screen too small) and how can a 14" laptop be a (device way too big)?

Any chance you're going to offer a 10" or 11" (or at least a 12") real road warrior in the future?

Oh, and your laptops are missing a , too. *sigh*

The EU has just adopted a set of guidelines to determine how repairable something is!

This is the first step towards mandating repairability score labels on new products, which is the first step towards a future where electronics last as long as they did in the past.

CVE stands for "Containerized Vulnerable Environment"

No need to extract zipped images to disk first on with :

acat 2020-02-13-raspbian-buster-lite.img | dd of=/dev/sdX status=progress

(Replace sdX accordingly.)

It's easy to remember and works on many archive formats, but you need to know the file name inside. Use e.g. "als".

Or just use

unzip -p | dd of=/dev/sdX status=progress

"unzip -p" outputs all files inside if there are more.

"I am a Unix Creationist. I believe the world was created on January 1, 1970 and as prophesized, will end on January 19, 2038"

A wee reminder to the folks diving into Zoom, Slack and other "free" proprietary services... remember, they can & do change their terms at their whim, suddenly. If you build systems around these tools, realise you'll eventually have to pay through the nose or work out how to bear the pain of changing your systems to a more cost-effective option in future. I can guarantee it.
