From the "How to not write `debian/copyright` files" department:

»On Debian systems, the complete text of the GNU General Public License can be found in `/usr/share/common-licenses/BSD'.«

🙄

Luckily I didn't find this in an official package.

@xtaran
While wrong, it's not legally binding or anything. And Debian systems *do* ship the full text of the GPL.

@zhenech: Ack. It was about a BSD-licensed software, though. I assume that the cause is that this wording is mostly used with rather lengthy GPL and that it's purely a copy and paste mistake — an embarrassing one, though.
