you know, the mind has a structure corresponding to neural anatomy... it's like an ubernetwork of specialized neural networks, including higher-level coordination networks to manage them... all dealing largely with big nested layers of many-sensory association problems.
so is it just me or is machine learning in a state like having artificial muscles, without anyone designing a body plan to connect them into a robot, and people actually debating whether that would even work?
